There's a lot of anime out there.
In fact, for anime fans, there's never been a better time to catch up on series you missed. Where once, every series either cost 100+ dollars, or you had to break the law, now legitimate streaming is available for many longstanding and new series. Shows are now available hours after they are aired in Japan, rather than months or years later.
There's also a lot of crap out there. Crap is cheap to stream, after all. That's where we come in. We aren't in the business of in depth analysis. We aren't literary critics. We're just fans like you. We watch the first three episodes of a series looking to ask the simple question: is this show worth your time? What is distinct about this show? What works? What doesn't?
